Skald ("the Service") is a free web platform for analyzing combat logs from World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King (version 3.3.5), available at skaldlogs.com.
These Terms of Service ("ToS") govern the use of the Service. By accessing the Service, the user accepts these ToS without reservation.
Skald lets users convert their WoWCombatLog.txt files into JSON via a local tool, upload that JSON to the platform, and view detailed analytics (DPS, healing, buff compliance, cross-log rankings, etc.).
The Service is intended for raid leaders and private-server WoW players. It is provided free of charge, partially funded by advertising.
Access to the Service is free. Some features require account creation (email + password). The following conditions apply:
Logs uploaded to Skald are public by default: any visitor can view the generated analytics. The user uploading a log declares they have the right to do so (implicit consent of the raid).
The editor stores logs on Supabase (European Union). A user can delete their own logs at any time via their dashboard.
Strictly prohibited:
The Service displays ads provided by Google AdSense to fund its hosting and development.
For visitors from the European Union, a consent banner managed by Google allows accepting or rejecting personalized ads. Details on data processing are available in our privacy policy.
Skald, its source code, design and features are the property of the editor. Users retain ownership of the logs they upload.
World of Warcraft is a registered trademark of Blizzard Entertainment. Skald is not affiliated with Blizzard.
The Service is provided "as-is". The editor does not guarantee accuracy of analyses, continuous availability, or absence of bugs. The user remains solely responsible for their use of the Service.
The editor reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. The version in force is the one published at skaldlogs.com/terms. Substantive changes will be notified to users.
